A coin hoard, consisting of 364 low-value inflationary coins of 18 groschen each, the so-called “tympfs” or “Achtzehngröscher”, from the second half of the 18th century, is published. Of these, 361 pieces belong to the Polish King August III (1733 – 1763) and 3 pieces belong to the Prussian King Friedrich II (1740 – 1786). The coins are made of a very low-grade silver alloy (billon). They were found during the demolition of an old house in the town of Haskovo. They are kept in the main numismatic fund of the National History Museum – Sofia.
